Rob Johnson – Associate Governor (Synergy Schools) – Local School Committee (HRPS)
Rob Johnson started his teaching career at Hutton Rudby Primary School in 2014 having gained a First-Class Honours Degree in Primary Education from Durham University. During his time in the school, Rob has led Maths, ICT, History, Geography and acted as SENDCo. He was appointed to the role of Assistant Head Teacher in March 2020 and led the school’s approach to home learning through both lockdowns. In October 2022, he took on the role of Acting Head Teacher alongside his classroom responsibilities as Year 6 teacher. Rob continued as Acting Head Teacher and Year 6 teacher for the remainder of the academic year, before stepping out of the classroom in September 2023. He became the permanent Head Teacher of Hutton Rudby Primary School in April 2024.
Away from teaching, Rob can often be found at a gig, the Riverside Stadium or a local 5-a-side pitch; these days he and his wife are spending most of their time looking after their firstborn who arrived in August 2023!
