Welcome to your PTA

Hutton Rudby has an active PTA which is an extremely valuable asset to the school and its pupils. Our PTA is run by volunteers, parents, carers and teachers alike. Parents / carers and other members of the school community and are welcome to contribute in any way they wish.

PTA Panel:

Co-Chairs – Julie Crichton and Gemma Ferguson

Treasurer – Laura Malkin

Secretary – Lucy Jensen

The main function of our PTA is to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children. We also provided those ‘little extras’ that make school memorable, such as school discos, Frozen Friday’s and Year 6 leavers’ items.

We try to keep our events accessible for all, bringing the communities of school and home closer together, providing both children and parents / carers the opportunity to meet new people and to have fun!

We will run many different fundraising events throughout the school year and hope to provide something for everyone to enjoy. However, we are always trying to think of new ways to raise money for the school and love hearing new ideas.

Agreed 2024 PTA Events: (more to be added once confirmed)

  • 2nd Hand Uniform Sales End of February (date TBC)
  • Easter Disco – Thursday 21st March
  • Summer Disco – Thursday 13th June
  • Halloween Disco – Thursday 24th October
  • Frozen Fridays will start as soon as the weather gets warmer

To continue with the fantastic fundraising events that have been enjoyed by the school community, the committee relies on the support of as many parents as possible to volunteer their time and effort. Without this support, many of the events and fundraising is not possible.

There are many ways to be involved in the PTA without joining the Committee itself. You can volunteer at the school discos, donate used uniform, man a stall at the summer or Christmas fete, come up with some interesting fund-raising ideas or just come and join us at our events and meetings.

If you can spare a couple of hours occasionally and are able to help us to support our school, please do get in touch.

If you want to speak to someone on the PTA you can email them at julie.1.crichton@hotmail.co.uk.
