Reception enjoyed a visit from Farmer Jayne in her tractor this afternoon. We enjoyed sitting in the shade, handling chicks, investigating crops and asking Jayne lots of questions about farming. Of course, Mrs Smith and Miss Templeman enjoyed the ride too! Thank you for visiting us! 🚜🐥🌾

With a lot of help from Hutton Rudby Primary School PTA , we have been working to increase the amount of things the children have to do at play and lunch time. We are pleased to share some of the early results of that work: A creative zone giving the children chance to make both permanent art in the form of paintings and temporary art with chalk and on our perspex easels. A dramatic zone - the creation of a permanent outdoor stage beside our 'naturally occuring amphitheatre'. Some Y6s have already taken it upon themselves to run their own HRPS's Got Talent show at lunch! Both have gone down very well so far! 🎭🎨
We feel that it is essential to form a strong partnership between parents and carers and the school itself.
Our induction process starts as soon as we know that a child is starting school with us. We have a thorough system in place to make sure that each child settles quickly.
