Alison Whittaker – Co-opted Governor
Alison was co-opted onto the governing body in November 2022 and is the named governor for Safeguarding. She recently retired after 38 years working in primary education in schools in different parts of the UK. After teaching throughout the primary age range, she spent the last 13 years of her career as a headteacher in North Yorkshire, where she was also the SEND Co-ordinator and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Alison brings knowledge and experience of all aspects of primary education, safeguarding and school budgets to our governing body. She enjoys singing in a choir, walking and being with her young grandchildren.
