Theatrical Brilliance At HRPS
Last week we were lucky enough to witness the theatrical brilliance on offer at Hutton Rudby Primary School. We started the week by watching a marvellous Nativity put on by our wonderful Reception children in their first stage experience at our school. They were fantastic. They spoke loud and clearly, and sang their hearts out. A brilliant way to kick off the week.
The week continued with the Key Stage 1 performing The Gruffalo on Wednesday and Thursday. It was a colourful and joyful show, where the children shone. It was obvious how much the children were enjoying themselves as they performed, and they should be proud of the way they sang and acted!
The week ended with three performances of Mary Poppins Jnr, an adaptation of the West End show that is designed for children aged 9-16 – quite an undertaking for our Year 5 and 6s! The children did an astounding job of bringing this play to life as they sang, danced and acted like West End pros (even managing to not get distracted by the surprise confetti cannon at the end!)
