HRPS Girls’ Football Team Victorious!

Match report by Flora & Connie – Year 6

Wednesday 9th February 2022

On the way to the football match, we were all very nervous but very excited. When we arrived at the school in Great Ayton, we hoped we would get off to a good start.

The other team were good, but we were better! We started to score and just couldn’t stop. It started getting a little rough, and the opposition scored two goals, but we scored 15.

We were very nervous at first but, when we scored the first goal after just ten seconds, we relaxed. The weather was fine, but it was very muddy so a lot of us fell over but don’t worry, so did the other team. When the first period of the match ended we had scored 6, and in the second period we got even better and scored 9, which is really good. We were all out of breath and some of us changed positions. They might have had more players, but we had more spirit.

When we had finished, we were happy that we had won and shook hands with the other team before going home to tell our families about the match. It was a great match!
